Description
A little bit of bridal. A little bit of rebellion.
This dramatic skirt began life as the skirt of a vintage wedding gown. The beautiful layers of soft ivory fabric became the foundation for something completely different.
I shortened the front and layered it with generous amounts of black tulle, creating a striking contrast between the soft ivory and deep black. To finish it, I added a wide black elastic waistband, bringing the volume of the skirt into a beautifully fitted waist.
The result is all about contrast — a dramatic, voluminous silhouette with an unexpectedly lightweight, soft feel.
The shorter front creates a strong design line that cascades into the longer back, giving the skirt movement, attitude and plenty of drama.
Unusual. Eye-catching. And definitely not your average skirt.
NOIRE AMOUR — because bridal doesn’t always have to stay bridal.
