The idea of this dress was born when I came across this stunning crochet vintage material. I was immediately fascinated by how the textures was so different, between the embroidered cotton circles and the crochet parts of the material. It was light and weighted at the same time and it draped beautifully. By combining this stunning vintage material with the soft English tulle, I’ve got the most amazing soft, luxurious romantic design.
I wanted to create something very different, something that I haven’t seen before, away from the commercial bridal trend, something elegant and unique.
The two vintage materials used in this gown been sourced from two different parts of the world. It’s taken me a while to find the same pattern and to be close enough in colour so it would match beautify. I also used two different tones of English tulle on the over skirt, so it’s created an interesting depth of colour on the skirt and yes, the pale ivory tulle colour did come from England!
It’s so wonderful to see how all these materials blended so effortlessly coming from so many parts of the World fused together speaking the same language…. Looking for the right person to wear it on the special day …
This gown is also very unique because with two detachable over skirts, sleeves, headpiece and veil, it allows you to customize your own individual looks throughout the day. Creating very different looks, feels and stunning photo opportunities. You can just choose the dress only, or all the items its totally up to you….
